Our Mission: Youth Character Development Program Florida
As a youth character development program Florida schools and families trust, The Champion Within exists to help young people discover the champion already inside them. We use the language of boxing - rounds, corners, training, resets - as a vivid, memorable framework for teaching character, resilience, personal responsibility, leadership, and healthy choices. We are not a fighting program. Boxing is our metaphor, not our subject.

2022 Florida Boxing Hall of Fame inductee, five-time Golden Gloves champion, two-time national champion who represented the USA Boxing Team; trained alongside Olympic bronze medalist Omari Jones, former IBF light heavyweight world champion Tavoris Cloud, and Brazilian middleweight champion Fabiano Pena; founded Harris Boxing with his late father and coach Lou Harris; father of two.
The Champion Within is built around a growing roster of coaches, speakers, and mentors who bring real, lived experience in competition, discipline, and personal reinvention into schools and communities.
